The Dungeness Crab takes its name from a small fishing village on the Straight of Juan de Fuca in Washington State. "Dungies" are in the Rock Crab family. Their shell is a light greenish-brown which then turns bright orange when cooked. Cannon's Dungeness are caught in near-shore marine waters under 150 feet deep with baited crab pots.

Dungeness Crab range in size from 1lb. to occasionally over 3lbs. Individual Crab are banded around the legs to prevent breakage and then bagged individually to protect against dehydration.
